

SIA BYKO-LAT
The wood processing company BYKO-LAT was established in 1993 as a Latvian subsidiary of the Icelandic company NORVIK.
Built from the scratch BYKO-LAT evolved into one of the largest and most efficient timber production plants in Latvia and currently is one of the leading forest products exporters from the country.
BYKO-LAT operates two production plants in Valmiera and Cesis, both located northeast of Latvia’s capital Riga.
More than 90% of goods are sold outside Latvia – mainly to the United Kingdom, Netherlands, France, Belgium, Denmark, Norway and Iceland.
BYKO-LAT sales in 2019 exceeded 79 million EUR. The company employs more than 500 employees.
Since 2018 Byko-Lat is a part of Bergs, an international wood products Group, listed on Nasdaq Stockholm.

Using wood as a raw material, Bergs develops and produces processed wood products from sustainably managed forests in the Baltic Sea region. With many years of experience in wood and with great expertise in further processing, we contribute to building a sustainable society with renewable materials.
The business is conducted through wholly owned subsidiaries in Sweden, Estonia, Latvia and England and includes sawmill operations, further processing and a distribution and logistics business.
The Group has sales of approximately SEK 3.2 billion and approximately 1,000 employees. Bergs is listed on Nasdaq Stockholm and is headquartered in Vimmerby.
